About Your Author
Hello! I'm Ekiuwa Aire, a Nigerian-Canadian cultural connector who is passionate about building love and knowledge of African history and culture with all kids.
I started Our Ancestories and became a storyteller when I saw that there weren't many different kinds of children's books, especially ones about African history.
I started writing books because I wanted to teach my own kids about their history. Now, I'm excited and honored to be able to use my books to help keep African heritage and culture alive.
